Quick & Easy Chicken Capsicum Curry ... Pakistani style Chinese recipe!
Chicken With Capsicum Curry

Serves : 4
Ingredients :
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp. ginger and garlic paste
- 500 gm. chicken, medium sized pieces
- 1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
- 2 tsp. red chillies powder
- 1 tbsp. cumin seeds, ground
- 1/4 tsp. nigella seeds ( kalonji )
- 1 tsp. salt or to taste
- 1 cup tomato puree ( peel tomatoes and blend to a puree )
- 3 - 4 medium sized capsicums, diced
Method :
- Heat oil in a pan. Add onion and saute until soft.
- Add ginger and garlic paste and fry for few seconds.
- Add chicken and stir-fry until golden.
- Add turmeric, red chillies, ground cumin seeds and nigella seeds, stir constantly.
- Add tomato puree and salt, mix well. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium.
- Cover and cook on medium heat until chicken is cooked.
- Remove the lid and let the sauce reduce, stirring constantly till very thick.
- Add capsicum and cook on a very low flame until capsicum is slightly tender.
- Serve hot with rice / chapati / bread.
