Quick & Easy Chicken Capsicum Curry ... Pakistani style Chinese recipe!

Chicken With Capsicum Curry

Serves : 4

Ingredients :
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp.  ginger and garlic paste
  • 500 gm.  chicken, medium sized pieces 
  • 1/2 tsp.  turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp.  red chillies powder
  • 1 tbsp.  cumin seeds, ground
  • 1/4 tsp.  nigella seeds ( kalonji )
  • 1 tsp.  salt or to taste
  • 1 cup tomato puree ( peel tomatoes and blend to a puree )
  • 3 - 4 medium sized capsicums, diced

Method :
    • Heat oil in a pan. Add onion and saute until soft.
    • Add ginger and garlic paste and fry for few seconds.
    • Add chicken and stir-fry until golden.
    • Add turmeric, red chillies, ground cumin seeds and nigella seeds, stir constantly.
    • Add tomato puree and salt, mix well. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium.
    • Cover and cook on medium heat until chicken is cooked.
    • Remove the lid and let the sauce reduce, stirring constantly till very thick.
    • Add capsicum and cook on a very low flame until capsicum is slightly tender.
    • Serve hot with rice / chapati / bread.
