Talking of Recipes and Foods, cooking always considered as a hot topic. Cooking in the kitchen with hot stove, pot, oil, onion.. everything 'hot' that let you sweat easily while stirring your gravy in caramelize of onion that surround you in kitchen. That's not only... Cutting the onions also make you cry and burns your eyes. I know there's bunch of non-onions cooking around, but let me tease you. ;) Problem is Asian can't live without onions. (that's truth, not teasing) They use it in their gravy (salan) to Pilao to Biryani to Korma to Kababs... In short it is the part and parcel of their cooking.

Ever wonder, what's the theory of Baking is? Such a Calm-Style-of-Cooking.. (as I use to say) It's a Cool topic to discuss and I always enjoy to talk on baking Brownies, cakes, cookies, bread, pizza, baked rolls.. (caution: list is so long)

Today, here at the sweet blog of Ambreen. I'm talking on Cake baking tips and tricks, that I learned from my past experience baking bunch of cakes for family events. I've face number of downfalls in baking and learned while never giving up.

There's is so many yet so interesting little little things to consider while baking your favorite and lovely Cake at home. If you fail in getting a step to prepare your batter, the outcome of it won't be perfect as it should be.
So, what's these little little things are?

I have the pleasure of featuring today's guest post which comes from Aiza Tariq of ( La Tour De Force ). Aiza is a talented young food blogger from Pakistan. Her blog is full of delicious recipes, beautifully written posts and gorgeous pictures.

Let's see what she is sharing with us today! Be sure to visit her blog and leave her some love!

Hello everybody. I'm Aiza, a girl from Pakistan. I haven't done anything remarkable yet, nor have I climbed any mountains so it's pretty obvious you don't know me. So well, I'm 17, a student in college, someone who aspires to do good someday, what good she has no idea.

Apart from that I blog over at latourdeforce.com . My blog is all about emotions, dreams, and of-course food. I've been an avid baker for the past three years. It was a learning process which engulfed me and polished me. Today I'm lucky enough to be posting for one of the best Pakistani bloggers ( Thank you Ambreen! ). I bring to you Oreo stuffed brownies, topped with vanilla ice cream and nutella swirls, dusted with icing sugar. Try this out. It didn't last a day in my world and there were still some grumpy people who didn't get any.

Guest Post : Thalassery Mutton Dum Biriyani from Rafeeda of The Big Sweet Tooth

It’s truly an honor to be sharing today's guest post which comes from a very sweet person and wonderful blogger, Rafeeda. Rafeeda is a working woman, mom of two cute little girls and an active blogger at The Big Sweet Tooth where she shares traditional Indian recipes & sweet treats with beautiful write-ups. Can you believe she has done many guest posts in a short span of time. I really admire her efforts and wonder how she manages all that! When I contacted her to share some traditional Eid-ul-Adha recipe over here, she graciously accepted the guest post offer. Let's check out how she celebrates Eid and what she makes especially for her family :)

 ***********************************************

Salaam to all the readers of Simply Sweet and Savory…

When Ambreen emailed me with a request for a meat related delicacy served during Eid, I couldn’t say know to her. Who would be able to say “no” to the simply sweet Ambreen? J Amid short notice, though I rummaged through my drafts, I was not able to find much of recipes related to mutton or beef, mainly because it is something cooked when you are really in a mood to or there is an occasion, and yes, occasions like Eid which call for some grand food!

I guess I’ll start with a little introduction about myself. I am Rafeeda, who blogs at The Big Sweet Tooth . A working mother, with two little sweethearts, who looks at cooking as a perfect stress-buster – this is the best way to sum up what I am! Cooking started something as a chore and slowly bloomed to be one of my favorite pastimes as of now. Even though my cooking is very much to please the taste buds of my live-in family, which includes my parents and brother, I love to explore and try making different dishes, which may be accepted.

Guest Post : Memon Kababs from Henna of My Ninja Naan

Today's guest post comes from a wonderful blogger friend, Henna of My Ninja Naan. She is one of the lovely people I've come across through blogging who constantly encourage me with their sweet & wonderful comments. She has actually tried some of my recipes and has given me positive feedback. Please visit her site, if you haven't checked out yet. I'm sure you will love her wonderful site which is full of mouthwatering recipes and tempting pictures.

Henna is sharing her Mom's recipe with us that she makes on special occasions. Let's have a look at her recipe!

***********************************************

Hello Friends! My name is Henna and I am the “ ninja ” behind My Ninja Naan . I “ met ” Ambreen 2 years ago when I stumbled upon her fabulous blog . I became obsessed with her authentic and tried and true recipes. Soon after discovering her blog, many of Ambreen’s recipes began making appearances in our home. In fact, I had so much success with her recipes that whenever I would try a new creation, my husband would ask, “Is this something you learned from your friend Ambreen?” Sometimes I would jokingly mention to Ambreen that she had become famous in my home ( seriously though, she is! ).

Guest Post : Beef Shami Kebab ( Minced Beef Meat Cutlets ) from Lubna of Yummy Food

Eid-ul-Adha ( Feast of the Sacrifice ) is celebrated by Muslims all over the world to commemorate the willingness of Hazrat Ibrahim ( A. S. ) to obey Allah's ( God's ) command to sacrifice his son Hazrat Ismail ( A. S. ), before Allah intervened and provide Hazrat Ibrahim ( A. S. ) with a ram to sacrifice instead. Now Muslims sacrifice an animal ( usually a goat , sheep , cow or camel ) every year during Eid-ul-Adha to keep fresh the memory of that great sacrifice. The meat from the sacrifice is divided into three equal parts; one third for the family, one third for relatives / friends / neighbours and one third for the poor and needy.

While Eid is just around the corner, I thought to invite few bloggers friends to guest post here and share their favorite recipes for Eid-ul-Adha.

Today, I'm excited to be featuring a guest post from Lubna of " Yummy Food ". Most of you would be already familiar with her blog which is full of delicious recipes and stunning pictures. When I requested her to do a guest post for my blog with some traditional Eid-ul-Adha recipe, she promptly responded with this yummy recipe. Let's see what she has to share with us!

***********************************************

Assalamu alaikum and welcome to the lovely readers of Simply Sweet 'n Savory. It is my immense pleasure to do a guest post for you people. When Ambreen mailed me to write about a traditional meat recipe which I make at home for Eid-ul-Adha / Bakreed / Bakrid ... with no second thought I choose these Shami Kebab recipe ... as this is my favourite recipe and mostly made during this festive time at my aunt’s place. And as I am at aunt’s place this season, I thought of sharing this recipe straight from her kitchen.
