Paula Deen's Orange Brownies

Makes : 9 large squares
Ingredients :
For Brownies :
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp. fresh orange juice
- 1 tbsp. grated orange zest
For Orange Glaze :
- 1 cup icing / confectioners’ sugar
- 2 tbsp. orange juice
- 1 tsp. grated orange zest
Method :
- Preheat oven to 180 C / 350 F. Grease an 8" square baking pan and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, stir together flour, sugar and salt.
- Add softened butter, eggs, orange juice and zest. Beat with an electric mixer until well blended.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 20 - 25 minutes or until light golden brown and set.
- Remove from oven and pierce top of entire cake with a fork.
- Combine the glaze ingredients in a bowl and stir well until smooth.
- Pour half glaze over hot cake and let cool.
- Spread remaining glaze over cake to cover the top and let set. Cut into squares.

I love the recipe. Anything which requires mixing and baking is perfect for me. Also beautiful glaze is simply perfect. Wish I have the time. Been so busy with work.
