Peanut Butter Gianduja Chocolates

“All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt.” ― Charles M. Schulz

Peanut Butter Gianduja ... Gianduja (or gianduia ) is a sweet chocolate. It is traditionally made with hazelnuts and chocolate, but you can use any nut butter you like. All you need is just three simple ingredients to make these sweet little treats. Enjoy!

Let's Welcome 2013!

Wish you all a very happy and prosperous new year ahead!

Peanut Butter Gianduja
**************************

Makes : 14 squares

Ingredients :
  • 100 gm.  white chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • 100 gm.  creamy peanut butter
  • 100 gm.  dark chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • Peanuts, optional

Method :
  • Line a small baking pan with foil or parchment paper, leaving some extra paper hanging over the edges or lightly grease the insides of each candy molds / Ice cube tray.
  • Place the white chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Melt in the microwave, stirring well after 30 second or sit the bowl over a pan of gently simmering water. Stir occasionally until the chocolate has melted and is smooth.
  • Remove from the heat and add the peanut butter, mix together until it is well combined.
  • Pour the mixture into prepared pan / molds. Place in the freezer until the filling is firm.
  • Now place the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Melt in the microwave, stirring well after 30 second or sit the bowl over a pan of gently simmering water. Stir occasionally until the chocolate has melted and is smooth. Remove from the heat.
  • Line a small baking sheet or tray with parchment paper; keep aside.
  • Take out the set filling from the freezer, remove the foil or parchment paper. With a sharp knife, cut it into squares ( Remove the squares from the molds ).
  • Just work with few squares at a time so that the filling stays as cold as possible. Place remaining squares back in the freezer.
  • With the help of a fork, dip each square into melted dark chocolate one at a time. Gently tap fork on edge of bowl to remove excess chocolate, make sure that all sides are coated well with the chocolate.
  • Place carefully on to lined tray. Place a peanut half on the top of each square, if using.
  • Continue this process, until all squares are coated in chocolate. If chocolate gets too thick, reheat it slightly.
  • Place the tray in the refrigerator until chocolate is completely set.
  • Wrap chocolates in foil or candy wrappers and store in cool, dry place. Store them in the refrigerator in summer.
